After years of walking alongside advanced heart failure patients across Arizona, The Terrence Pickrel Heart Fund will be winding down operations. We are no longer accepting donations or applications for assistance at this time.

 

To everyone who gave, volunteered, shared our mission, or simply cheered us on: thank you. Your generosity made it possible to ease the burden for families facing some of the hardest days of their lives. Every grant we’ve provided — and every grant still to come — exists because of you.

Well, being diagnosed with heart failure was not shocking — it was freaking unbelievable. I was an extremely fit 59-year-old man.  I worked out on a regular basis. So, suddenly to be told that you have heart failure. My first cardiologist told me I had six months to live. I was in complete denial. I did not want to believe it. . .  Watch the video
