OUr Mission...

To provide critical financial support to low-income heart transplant & LVAD patients receiving care in Arizona

and

To promote heart health through community outreach

OUR VISION...

To relieve financial distress caused by heart-related illness and to promote heart-health awareness

About our organization

The process of needing and receiving a heart transplant or mechanical heart support is a difficult journey - mentally, emotionally, physically, and for many also financially.  The Terrence Pickrel Heart Fund seeks to help these patients lessen their financial burden by providing modest financial assistance.

Our 501(c)3 nonprofit fund is designed to provide much-needed financial aid to heart transplant and mechanical circulatory support (MCS) patients for basic necessities including, but not limited to the following:

  • Rent/mortgage
  • Utilities
  • Food
  • Transportation/gas
  • Lodging
  • Medication copays
  • Insurance copays
  • Dental expenses (restrictions apply)

Requests are vetted by hospital social workers and are needs-based.  Awards of up to $500 per year to patients receiving care in Arizona are available, funds permitting.

For additional information, please contact our office at 520-775-1963 or email us at contact@heartfundaz.org
